Der Versuch, die Welt in eine visuelle Ordnung zu bringen, ist thematischer Ausgangspunkt für die Präsentation von Peter Hoiss im Kunstraum München. In seinen Arbeiten widmet er sich dem Spannungsfeld von Fotografie, Installation und Wahrnehmung. Hierfür befasst er sich mit den Lichtfarben Rot, Grün und Blau (RGB) in der analogen Welt wie auch der Darstellung von RGB als vorrangigem Farbraum in der digitalen. In den von ihm gezeigten „Seh“-Objekten, Installationen mit Licht und Filterfolien sowie Fotoarbeiten eröffnet sich die subjektive Farbwahrnehmung den Rezipient:innen.

Anlässlich der Ausstellung erscheint eine Edition des Künstlers.
Die Ausstellung wird gefördert durch das Bundesministerium für Kunst, Kultur, öffentlicher Dienst und Sport, dem Land Oberösterreich Abteilung Kultur sowie das Kulturreferat der Landeshauptstadt München.
The attempt to bring the world into a visual order is the thematic starting point for Peter Hoiss‘ exhibition. His work is dedicated to the interplay of installation, photography, and perception. In his exhibition at the Kunstraum, he deals with the primary colors red, green, and blue in the analogue world as well as the representation of RGB as the primary color space in the digital world. In the (visual) objects and photographic works on display, the three-color theory is combined with a breakdown of color perception.
RGB provides the visual framework for the works in the exhibition. Peter Hoiss also makes reference to this within the archive space on the Kunstraum’s ground floor, which was created as part of the Kunstraum’s 50th Anniversary.
